Reset Sync Cache

Clear cached sync results when offsets need recalculating.

When to Reset

Resetting the sync cache makes sense in these situations:

  • You adjusted the sync offset manually and want to re-run Auto Sync from scratch.
  • You added or removed files from the folder and want a fresh sync pass.
  • The cached offset seems wrong — video and audio are not aligned in preview.

How to Reset

  1. Open the group card in the List View.
  2. Click the menu or action button on the group card.
  3. Select "Reset Sync Cache".
  4. The cached sync result is cleared. The next time you open the project or click Auto Sync, Synclay will re-compute the offset.
Warning: Resetting the sync cache removes the cached offset. The next time you open this group as a project, Auto Sync will run again automatically. If you had manually fine-tuned the offset, that value will be lost.
